As computer crimes of all types increase law enforcement officials must create new laws and task forces to deal with these cyber crimes. From local to federal agencies, all are getting involved to handle these new computer crimes. Criminals have found new and creative ways to harm the public with out leaving their own homes. The agencies deal with crimes such as viruses, on-line predators/pedophiles, identity theft, and inter net fraud.
Cyber Police is a definite necessity and I think it is great. I have come into contact with so many weird people being in chat rooms and I could not imagine my daughter going online and being stalked by an old man or crazy person. I definitely think it is up to parents to block what they don’t want their children to have access to. But sometimes parents can’t protect their children from everything so having the Cyber Police is like backup for parents!
ReplyDeleteCyber police is really nice because they protect our kids when we are not around. Cyber police are doing a great job but, before that I think that parents should also take some action against their kids chatting with some strangers. Cyber police also help reduce the crime because of new technologies. Even if someone is doing a crime sitting in their home Cyber police can find out through technology.
ReplyDeleteI definitely feel as if it is nice to know that law enforcement is trying to keep up to date with all these new ways that criminals keep finding to break the law and take advantage of others. Although it may seem to be a more difficult task since some of these online predators are extremely gifted in avoiding capture, its nice to know that all agencies whether local or federal are taking the proper initiative to really make a difference so that these types of crimes can be dealt with properly
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite issues. I`m always surprised how people treat cyber crimes differently than they tear real crimes. I think that cyber crime should be treated as seriously. Even though they happen virtually, read individuals are committing them. I hope that the future technology will allow catching those people in much effective way. I especially always concern of people who are spreading viruses that can shut down and destroy the whole system. Watch up for unknown emails.

The internet is too big to be spending money on policing it. The internet should be used to find criminals that police already have evidence that they have commited a crime. There is no way that people can be harmed physically by others on the internet. There is too much physical violence in the real world and we need all the police we can get.
ReplyDeleteCyber police are definitely necessary in this technological time. Almost everything is computer based and many people are taking advantage of it. Its great that police officers disguise themselves as little girls or boys online to catch predators. I think more attention should be given to internet crimes as technology grows. Although its a persons own fault that they fall for scams and things like that, internet police should be able to catch the scammers or hackers causing trouble.
